Watercolor with soul, simplicity, and light.

Bonnie’s watercolor paintings blend realism with a soul-stirring sense of movement and light. Her subjects—often birds, botanicals, or quiet moments from nature—appear alive in their stillness, with just enough suggestion to let the viewer's imagination fill in the rest. With minimal backgrounds and a mastery of light and shadow, her work invites a pause, a breath, a deeper look.

It was in the quiet stillness of Africa that Bonnie fell in love with watercolor. Living in Zimbabwe for nearly three years while working with a safari company, she found herself captivated by the kind of beauty that doesn’t ask for attention—sunlight filtered through acacia trees, the still gaze of a heron, the unspoken stories held in the hush of the land.

Bonnie’s watercolor journey has evolved into a style that celebrates movement, light, and feeling—without needing excess. Her compositions often leave space to breathe, inviting you not just to look, but to feel.
To remember what’s wild. What’s quiet. And what’s beautifully enough.

a celebration of mood, motion, and meaning beneath the surface.

“My townhome has a stone fireplace and towering wall. I wanted a statement piece to go above and I asked Bonnie if she could paint some horses for me.

Her painting is magnificent! She captured the wild power and grace of these animals with a blend of earthy tones and soft blues that brings the piece to life. I LOVE IT!

It’s been the focal point of my home for years. Guests always stop to admire it. Her ability to translate motion, emotion and energy into watercolor is simply remarkable.”
